Where do Swan's old mats go when we determine they are no longer a suitable quality for our customers? The garbage, the land-fill? - No. We always donate to causes that can use the mats. In an earlier Blog post I write about the mats being shipped to third world nations, where they line dirt floors in some schools, and provide non-slip protection in hospitals and other places.
Now Swan is happy to provide some of these mats to animal shelters that rescue and shelter animals in need. These mats will be used in a number of ways, Some mats will be used to cover crates, line crates, or provide pathways for disabled dogs that can slip on a bare floor.
We hope our mats can make each day just a little better for those animals that need it.
